Byron
Some of you may remember Byron (pictured above), the sweet little boy who was rescued after his life was at risk due to his family’s beliefs about a child with a disability. As you can see, he is thriving at the special needs school he attends in Kakamega, Kenya.

Classroom Partnerships for Penpals/Cultural Sharing!
Projects of Hope is seeking teachers to partner with us for their students to be penpals with a classroom in Shikokho, Kenya. This cultural sharing opportunity is meaningful for students in the US and in Kenya as they learn about one another and the world around them. To learn more contact info@projectsofhope.org. A second grade teacher, Sharon, in Breese, Illinois has provided the inspiration behind this project. Her students continue to write letters and learn about their friends in Kenya and even raise funds to buy them school supplies. Recently, they sent beautiful letters and pictures and some corn seeds which they had also planted at their own school garden.
