Projects of Hope 5th
Annual
Homebuilding
Project
Built with the help of students
sponsored by Projects of Hope and the rest of their rural western
community in Kenya, this home will provide one of the most basic
necessities of life for a family. This year’s home will be for a
hardworking single mom named Janet. Her husband has left ten years
ago, she has 5 children, 2 more passed away. The children have been
unable to complete school due to their financial situation, however
she has one daughter currently in eighth grade she hopes will be
able to attend high school. She has a very small roadside stand
where she sells some vegetables to put food on the table. She
doesn't have any land to subsistence farm on. Despite all the
challenges Janet is confident in moving forward to create a better
life, the best she can for her children. The family has gone through
so much. Our program coordinator met the family when walking
through the community conducting outreach and saw their situation.
The cost to construct this modest
traditional Kenyan home with a tin roof, clay walls, and several
small rooms is approximately $1000. Will you help us meet this
goal?
Update -- the new home is fully
funded!!! Amazing! Thank you all!

first $250 in gifts dollar to dollar! That means your donation will
go twice as far! All gifts are tax deductible. Thank you! I will be
in Kenya shortly to see firsthand the building of the home and
report back on its progress. Update -- the new home is fully
funded!!! Amazing! Thank you all!
